My campaign recently received this letter from a supporter who saw our advertisement in the Intelligencer and Courier Times.  Letters like this are a major reason why I am seeking to represent you, the people of the 8th District.

Hello Ira,

Thank you for considering our suggestions.  Your response is pleasantly surprising.   Our experience, after months and months of writing to our representatives in Washington about our concerns, has been little or no response.  Indeed their actions have been diametrically opposed to our requests and those of a great majority of conservative Americans.

We decided to change our tactics for this election year.  We have one goal:  identify citizen representatives who share our principles and support them.  We have read all the pages on your website and watched a video of your presentation and participation in the Kitchen Table Patriots 2010 Congressional Candidate Forum.  We like what we see and wish to offer whatever support we can.

My husband is a retired engineer and I am a retired real estate broker.  We have never been active in politics other than to try to cast informed votes at each election.  We have rusty skills--I write a little, my husband putters around a lot--but here are two good pairs of hands to help.  Have someone call us with details.  We will donate to your campaign, of course. 

We know that the lack of "machine" backing and name recognition are the biggest hurdles in running a campaign like yours.  However, we have faith that if ordinary citizens who share our principles are willing to roll up their sleeves and take some risks, we will get this great country of ours back on solid ground.
